Albert King
Albert King - 1989 - New Orleans Heat
This is a wonderful recording (1978). If you're the kind of person that sits up and notices when you hear real talent, then pay attention to this one. It is "pure" Albert King, in every sense of the word; the New Orleans studio musicians are so tight and so there for him, they let him shine. The bass was so good, I had to see who it was: George Porter Jr. Excellent funk to some arrangements and the horns are icing on the cake: tight, tight but so relaxed at the same time.(Full Covers)

Albert King - 1973 - Blues At Sunrise
Recorded at Albert King's appearance at the 1973 Montreux Jazz Festival, Blues at Sunrise: Live at Montreux is a typically engaging live record from the guitarist. King is in good form and the set list is a little unpredictable, featuring standards like "Blues at Sunrise" and "I'll Play the Blues for You" as well as lesser-known items like "Little Brother (Make a Way)" and "Don't Burn Down the Bridge."(Full Covers)

Albert King - 1973 - Blues At Sunset
One of the best live recordings of Albert King. Even without the usual horn section on the Wattstax set, it lacks nothing. The rest of the Montreaux set not included on the "Blues At Sunrise" CD are found here and are, again, some of Albert Kings best.(Full Covers)
